Rose Street is a caring, inclusive school where children thrive both academically and emotionally. The school excels at supporting reading and developing children's personal skills - pupils learn about relationships, health and responsibility through meaningful roles like being sports leaders or buddies. Teachers explain new ideas clearly and make sure pupils with additional needs get the support they need to succeed.
Key Strengths
- Strong focus on reading - pupils develop fluency and confidence, with excellent support for those who need catch-up help
- Excellent pastoral care and personal development - the school provides exceptional welfare support and helps pupils understand relationships and health
- Well-sequenced curriculum across all subjects that helps pupils build knowledge gradually over time
- Effective behaviour management with a calm, warm atmosphere based on kindness and respect

Areas for Improvement
