Curriculum and teaching - Expected standard. "Since the previous inspection, leaders' have designed and implemented a broad and ambitious curriculum that enables pupils to study an appropriate blend of academic and vocational subjects."

Leadership and governance - Expected standard. "The trust has supported leaders to establish the skills and expertise needed to successfully tackle the school's previous weaknesses."

Personal development and wellbeing - Expected standard. "The school's ‘curriculum for life' programme ensures that pupils benefit from a carefully designed and well-delivered personal, health, social and economic education programme."

Achievement - Needs attention. "The 2025 end of key stage 4 published data shows that pupils' attainment in many subjects, including English and mathematics is below the national average."

Attendance and behaviour - Needs attention. "Leaders regularly check on pupils' attendance."

Safeguarding standards were met.

In 2026, pupils at Reddish Vale High School averaged an Attainment 8 score of 37.9, the average grade across their best eight GCSEs. The average state school scored 49.1 in Stockport and 47 across England.

28% passed English and maths at grade 5 or above, against 51% in Stockport and 47% in England.

For September 2026 entry, 112 families put Reddish Vale High School as their first choice and 235 named it as one of their preferences, for 188 places offered. It had fewer first-choice applications than places. Every family who put it first was offered a place there for 2026 entry.
