What This School Does Well

Powick CofE Primary School creates an environment where pupils thrive both academically and personally. The school excels at supporting all learners, particularly those with additional needs, through early intervention and tailored resources. Beyond the classroom, the school offers rich experiences including museum visits, library programs, choir, clubs, and visits to places of worship and historical sites that bring learning to life.

Key Strengths

  • Strong phonics teaching and early reading support, with effective tracking to help all pupils become fluent readers
  • Well-sequenced, ambitious curriculum tailored to local environment with effective teaching overall
  • Early identification and prompt support for pupils with SEND, including specialist resources
  • Excellent behavior, respect, and safety culture with pupils taking on meaningful responsibilities
  • Wide range of enrichment activities including trips, visits, and clubs that enhance learning

Areas for Improvement
