From the headteacher's welcome: "The RICHER Federation of Nursery Schools are maintained, resourced based, nursery schools. Gill Blowers Nursery School is split over two sites, one based in March Farm (Leabank site) and one in Hockwell Ring (Mossdale site) and Pastures Way Nursery School is based in Lewsey Farm."

What This School Does Well
Pastures Way creates a warm, welcoming environment where children are eager to learn and feel genuinely cared for. Staff are highly skilled at developing children's communication and language through thoughtful conversations and questioning. The nursery does an excellent job supporting children with additional needs, ensuring they flourish and learn alongside their peers.
Key Strengths
- Children are happy, friendly and well-behaved with clear routines and strong behaviour expectations
- Excellent support for communication and language development through skilled questioning and conversations
- Staff understand individual needs well, including children with SEND, and adapt their planning to help all children progress
- Strong focus on developing children's vocabulary and understanding through play-based learning
- Parents are very positive about the nursery and feel their children are well cared for
Areas for Improvement
- Some new curriculum areas need further embedding - staff are not yet fully confident in using the new plans to deepen children's learning
- In mathematics, focused number sessions are strong but this learning is not always extended through independent play activities
- Leaders should provide more guidance and support to help staff fully implement the recent curriculum changes
