- Mathematics standards have been inconsistently high, with some pupils below average in Year 6 and the Year 4 multiplication check

- Variation in the quality of phonics and writing teaching has left some pupils with gaps in letter formation and spelling
- Feedback to pupils is not consistently used to address misconceptions across all classes
