In its own words: "Recognising its historic foundation, Newbottle and Charlton CEVA Primary school preserves and develops its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the church at parish and diocesan level."

From the headteacher's welcome: "Newbottle and Charlton CEVA Primary School is a Church of England Voluntary Aided school. We are a primary school covering Reception to Year 6 (ages 4-11) and currently have 97 children on roll. The school is situated in the heart of a thriving rural village on the Northamptonshire border, just south of Brackley."

The school runs a breakfast club from 7:40am and after-school care.

In 2025, 27% of Year 6 pupils at Newbottle and Charlton Church of England Primary School reached the expected standard in reading and 27% in maths. At the average state primary the figures were 77% and 75% in West Northamptonshire and 77% and 75% across England.
