Attendance and behaviour - Needs attention. "Overall attendance remains below the national average and persistent absence is too high."

Safeguarding standards were met.

Ofsted's next steps for the school: "Leaders should challenge and support families so that attendance swiftly improves to at least in line with the national average and persistent absence reduces, especially for disadvantaged pupils"; "Leaders should ensure that all pupils develop key handwriting and spelling skills so they can apply them accurately and confidently across the curriculum"; "Leaders should refine the task design in a few subjects to strengthen pupils' learning of the key content over time".

From the headteacher's welcome: "Meadowcroft School is situated in a quiet residential area of Chertsey and is a Surrey County Council maintained Community School, growing from infant to primary from September 2024. The school is single form entry (one reception class). From September 2024 Meadowcroft will have it's first Year 3 Class growing year on year to Year 6 in 2027."
