Manor Park is a happy, exciting place where pupils feel proud and thoroughly enjoy coming to school. Teachers provide strong support and the school offers a vibrant curriculum with excellent enrichment opportunities. Pupils develop well as responsible citizens through positions of responsibility and the school's focus on both academic and personal development.

Key Strengths

  • Strong leadership team with clear vision and accurate self-evaluation of school strengths and weaknesses
  • Excellent provision for pupils' personal development and welfare, with the 'SOAR to success' mantra embedded throughout
  • Significant improvements in writing and mathematics achievement since the last inspection
  • Physical education is a particular strength, with the school awarded School Games Gold Level Mark in 2015 and 2016
  • Outstanding early years provision with children making exceptional progress and achieving above national averages

Areas for Improvement

  • Some variation in the quality of teaching across the school means pupils' progress is not always as rapid as it could be
  • Need to continue developing the effectiveness of middle leaders
