- Inconsistent achievement in mathematics by end of key stage 2, with pupils not presenting their calculations neatly
- Teaching does not consistently check all pupils' understanding through questioning, so some pupils' needs are not fully met
- Pupils' knowledge about different cultures, faiths and beliefs is not consistent
- Some early years staff interactions with children need to be higher quality to develop language and communication
