In its own words: "Hopping Hill is a vibrant two form entry primary school on the outskirts of Northampton Town in the village of Duston. We have 409 pupils on roll from Reception to Year 6 and a 39 place maintained Nursery."

From the headteacher's welcome: "At Hopping Hill Primary School, we are fully committed to providing an environment where pupils are happy, hardworking and healthy and through support and challenge, fulfil their true potential. It is our aim to develop the well-rounded child - a child who is confident, resilient, motivated and prepared to adapt for the ever changing world that we are living in."

Clubs and activities named on the school's website include basketball, dance, Lego, STEM, cooking, gardening and art.

In 2025, 73% of Year 6 pupils at Hopping Hill Primary School reached the expected standard in reading and 73% in maths. At the average state primary the figures were 77% and 75% in West Northamptonshire and 77% and 75% across England.

Results rose from 73% in reading and 59% in maths in 2024.

For September 2026 entry, 43 families put Hopping Hill Primary School as their first choice and 85 named it as one of their preferences, for 44 places offered. It had fewer first-choice applications than places. Every family who put it first was offered a place there for 2026 entry.
