From the headteacher's welcome: "A specialist independent day-provision for children aged 7 to 18 years Hartmore School's pupil population is predominately made up of children who have a Special Educational Need and Disability (SEND) in the categories of Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH). Whilst also seeing an increase in diagnoses such as ASD, ADHD, OCD, PDA, and sensory processing difficulties. ."

The school combines strong academic teaching in English and maths with therapeutic support and enriching activities like climbing, skiing and paddle boarding that build confidence and resilience. Staff and parents consistently praise the school for genuinely listening to and nurturing each pupil's individual needs.

- Warm, caring relationships between staff and pupils create a calm, nurturing environment where pupils feel safe and develop confidence
- Strong focus on core subjects with priority on reading and speaking skills, helping pupils catch up and achieve qualifications
