Teachers know pupils well and create a calm, purposeful environment where behaviour is positive and everyone is treated with respect. The school offers far more than academic learning - with clubs, trips and activities that open children's eyes to the wider world while building their confidence and character.
Key Strengths
- Pupils are confident, friendly and proud of their achievements, with excellent understanding of British values and celebration of diversity
- Well-planned, sequenced curriculum starting in Reception that is ambitious for all pupils, including those with SEND
- Expert phonics teaching with daily structured sessions that help pupils become confident readers
- Strong behaviour and positive relationships between staff and pupils creating a calm, purposeful learning environment
- Excellent personal development with wide range of clubs, trips and enrichment activities helping pupils think beyond their local community
Areas for Improvement
- Not all staff consistently implement the reading curriculum as planned, meaning some pupils do not read fluently as soon as they could
- Sometimes teachers do not provide appropriate support or adaptation in lessons for pupils with SEND to access learning effectively
- Need to ensure all staff have the knowledge and skills to deliver the reading curriculum and adapt teaching to meet diverse pupil needs
