What This School Does Well

The school has created a warm, supportive community where boys are happy and well-behaved. Teachers know pupils and their families very well, supporting their safety and progress. The school is ambitious about what pupils can achieve and has significantly improved its curriculum through careful planning and partnerships with other schools.

Key Strengths

  • Pupils behave positively and show strong motivation to learn
  • Strong support for pupils with SEND, helping them keep pace with peers
  • Warm, inclusive environment with positive staff-pupil relationships

Areas for Improvement

  • Limited structured support for weaker readers and lack of regular library access

  • Limited opportunities for pupils to develop individual talents beyond traditional offerings
  • Personal development curriculum does not ensure pupils understand all aspects of modern British life

Safeguarding

Safeguarding arrangements are effective and the school keeps pupils safe through strong staff knowledge of families and positive relationships.
