What This School Does Well
This school creates a nurturing, values-based environment where children thrive both academically and personally. Pupils achieve considerably higher than national standards by Year 6 and develop into compassionate, active citizens who want to make a positive difference. The school is highly inclusive and provides excellent support for all learners, particularly those with additional needs.

- Exceptional behaviour and attitudes - pupils are polite, courteous and genuinely respect each other
- Strong inclusive practice with excellent support for pupils with SEND who are identified promptly
- Outstanding character development preparing pupils to be active, responsible members of society
- Excellent early reading with impressive phonics understanding in Reception and strong progress in Year 1
- Highly positive attitudes to learning with pupils producing high-quality written work across the curriculum
Areas for Improvement
- Need to clarify the precise essential knowledge pupils should know and remember in some subjects
- Assessment approaches to check understanding during lessons and at the end of topics are not yet fully established
- Need to develop a consistent system for identifying and addressing gaps in pupils' understanding without delay
