Ofsted's report card from its 19 May 2026 inspection grades Cramlington Learning Village on 7 areas: 5 strong standard and 2 expected standard. Report cards replaced single-word judgements in November 2025, on a five-point scale from exceptional to urgent improvement.

Personal development and wellbeing - Strong standard. "Leaders have implemented a highly effective personal development programme."

Achievement - Expected standard. "Pupils, including those who are disadvantaged, typically achieve close to national averages in published tests and examinations."

Post 16 provision - Expected standard. "Leaders have strengthened the sixth-form provision in recent years."

Safeguarding standards were met.

Clubs and activities named on the school's website include football, netball, rugby, cricket, tennis, athletics, gymnastics, basketball, badminton and ballet.

On phones, the school says: "Schools in England are now required by law to make their premises phone-free environments by default following the recent amendment to the Children’s Wellbeing and Schools Act 2026."

In 2026, pupils at Cramlington Learning Village averaged an Attainment 8 score of 47.5, the average grade across their best eight GCSEs. The average state school scored 43.9 in Northumberland and 47 across England.

44% passed English and maths at grade 5 or above, against 41% in Northumberland and 47% in England.

That is in line with 2025, when the score was 46.7.

Its most recent Progress 8 score, for 2024, was -0.15: pupils made below average progress compared with pupils nationally who started secondary school at the same level. Progress 8 was not published for 2026.

Disadvantaged pupils averaged an Attainment 8 of 35.4, against 51.2 for other pupils at the school - a gap of 15.8 points.

Pupils sat GCSEs in 28 subjects; after English and maths, the most popular were Combined Science, Business Studies and History.

For September 2026 entry, 343 families put Cramlington Learning Village as their first choice and 390 named it as one of their preferences, for 340 places offered. That is slightly more first choices than places. 6 families who put it first were not offered a place there.

Of the 342 pupils who finished Year 11 in 2023/24, 81% stayed in education or training for at least two terms, including 43% to a further education college, 6% to an apprenticeship and 2% into work.

Of the 143 students who left the sixth form in 2023/24, 62% went on to university or other higher education, 9% to apprenticeships and 17% into work. 17% went to one of the most selective third of universities.

3.6% speak English as an additional language, against 18.8% on average, according to the 2026 school census.

In 2026, 262 pupils (13.2%) received SEN support and 48 (2.4%) had an education, health and care plan, against 16.2% and 4.6% at the average state school. The most common need among them is social, emotional and mental health needs.
