Cookridge Primary School has made impressive improvements in a short time under strong leadership. Children make good progress in reading, writing and maths, with standards now matching the national average by Year 6. Teachers have high expectations, provide well-matched work for different abilities, and pupils are enthusiastic learners with excellent behaviour and attendance.

  • Teaching is good with some outstanding practice, and teachers have high expectations with work well-matched to pupils' abilities

  • Strong leadership from the headteacher has driven rapid improvements, with high staff morale and a strengthened senior leadership team
