Areas for Improvement

  • Pupil achievement in reading, writing and mathematics is below national standards, especially at key stage 2
  • Inconsistent quality of teaching and curriculum implementation across classes
  • Attendance rates remain below national figures despite recent improvements
  • Variability in the quality of work pupils produce and their ability to recall prior learning
  • Some pupils receiving work that is too easy or too hard due to incomplete SEND adaptations

Safeguarding

Safeguarding standards are met with an open and positive culture established where all staff understand safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and pupils feel safe.

Extracurricular Activities

Arts and crafts, cookery, rugby, gymnastics, football, school council, safeguarding ambassadors, Cleeve Crew, visits to local care home, trips to London

Cleeve Primary School is an inclusive school with strong early years provision and effective safeguarding. However, pupil achievement remains below national standards, particularly at key stage 2, and curriculum implementation needs to be more consistent.
