From the headteacher's welcome: "Central Street Infant & Nursery School is located in the centre of Hebden Bridge, a beautiful former mill town in the heart of the Pennines. The current school was built in 1984, is easily accessible to all learners and benefits from ample playgrounds and gardens. Visitors to Central Street always comment on the beautiful learning spaces and wonderful surroundings."

The school has created a caring, calm environment where pupils are kind to each other and feel safe. Teachers have worked hard to make reading and maths engaging through well-structured lessons and practical activities. Pupils with additional needs, including those with autism, receive excellent tailored support alongside their peers.
