Ofsted's report card from its 9 June 2026 inspection grades Broughton Primary School on 7 areas: 6 strong standard and 1 expected standard. Report cards replaced single-word judgements in November 2025, on a five-point scale from exceptional to urgent improvement.

Safeguarding standards were met.

Ofsted's next steps for the school: "Leaders should strengthen the consistency and quality of adult–child spoken interactions so that practitioners routinely extend children's language, thinking and vocabulary during independent learning opportunities"; "Leaders should continue to embed recent curriculum refinements to refine practice further so that the impact on all areas of pupils' writing is even more secure".

In its own words: "Broughton Primary School is a one form entry primary with about 200 pupils which is situated in the small village of Broughton close to the historic market town of Kettering. The School is situated on the edge of the village and is surrounded on three sides by fields and open views of the the beautiful Northamptonshire countryside."
