Ofsted's report card from its 24 March 2026 inspection grades Brede Primary School on 7 areas: 1 strong standard and 6 expected standard. Report cards replaced single-word judgements in November 2025, on a five-point scale from exceptional to urgent improvement.

Attendance and behaviour - Strong standard. "The leadership of attendance is strategic and precise."

Achievement - Expected standard. "By the end of Year 6, pupils achieve above what is typical nationally in reading, writing and mathematics."

Curriculum and teaching - Expected standard. "Leaders have an accurate understanding of the quality of the curriculum and teaching."

Early years - Expected standard. "Children in the Reception class make a positive start to their education, supported by warm and purposeful relationships with staff."

Inclusion - Expected standard. "Leaders have created an inclusive culture, where pupils feel supported and valued."

Leadership and governance - Expected standard. "Leaders place pupils at the centre of all their decisions."

Personal development and wellbeing - Expected standard. "Pupils benefit from a culture of nurture and high expectation."

Safeguarding standards were met.

In 2025, 100% of Year 6 pupils at Brede Primary School reached the expected standard in reading and 100% in maths. At the average state primary the figures were 76% and 72% in East Sussex and 77% and 75% across England.

Results rose from 93% in reading and 86% in maths in 2024.
