Bracken Edge is a welcoming school where pupils from diverse backgrounds make good progress despite arriving with very low starting points, often speaking little or no English. The school excels at developing children's confidence in speaking and listening, and creates an outstanding safe environment where behaviour is excellent and pupils are genuinely caring towards each other. Strong leadership is driving continuous improvement in both teaching quality and pupil achievement.
