Balance Alternative Provision excels at supporting vulnerable pupils with autism and mental health needs in a calm, caring environment where staff genuinely understand each student. The school is particularly strong at rebuilding confidence and preparing pupils to successfully return to mainstream education through well-planned lessons and thoughtful behaviour support. Pupils benefit from enriching experiences and practical learning that extends beyond traditional subjects.

- Staff show genuine care and develop trusting relationships with pupils, helping build their confidence and self-esteem
- Well-sequenced curriculum in English and mathematics with logical progression that prepares pupils for transition back to mainstream school

- Effective behaviour management with clear routines and appropriate strategies including use of sensory room for regulation
