Whitelands Academy: admissions history

For September 2026 entry, 145 families put Whitelands Academy as their first choice and 316 named it as one of their preferences, for 104 places offered. That is 1.4 first choices for every place. 47 families who put it first were not offered a place there.
Demand has been fairly steady: 149 first choices in 2021, against 145 in 2026.
Across Oxfordshire, 85% of families were offered their first-choice secondary school for 2026 entry, and 96% were offered one of the schools they named.
In 2025, families in Oxfordshire lodged 265 appeals against secondary school offers; 160 reached a hearing and 58 succeeded (36.3% of those heard).
