Uckfield College: admissions history

For September 2026 entry, 298 families put Uckfield College as their first choice and 513 named it as one of their preferences, for 267 places offered. That is 1.1 first choices for every place. 42 families who put it first were not offered a place there.

First-choice demand has risen from 232 in 2021 to 298 in 2026, while places went from 260 to 267.

Across East Sussex, 86% of families were offered their first-choice secondary school for 2026 entry, and 96% were offered one of the schools they named.

In 2025, families in East Sussex lodged 470 appeals against secondary school offers; 348 reached a hearing and 83 succeeded (23.9% of those heard).
